Overview

Integrated Control Corporation (ICC) is a small company with a global reputation in the food service industry.  Each year, the company’s marketing department develops newsletters, flyers, and brochures to deliver the company’s message at customer meetings and trade shows.  As they tailor messages and update materials for each event, ICC needs the flexibility to print and deliver high quality materials very quickly.  Finding a local printer who could meet their schedules and budget was becoming more and more difficult. ICC turned to the internet and found the quality, responsiveness, and price they needed with HubCast’s Cloud Print Service.

Recently, ICC updated their product catalog in preparation for a major industry show. But, with just days to go before the event, ICC experienced a major delay in their production schedule. They called HubCast and HubCast’s customer support team immediately went to work to make sure the catalog was delivered on time.

Challenge

ICC had used HubCast’s Cloud Print Service numerous times in the past year, printing premium-quality newsletters and flyers online through HubCast’s web portal. So, when it came time to update the company’s product catalog for a major tradeshow, ICC planned on using HubCast’s Cloud Print Service once again. But, with their art director unexpectedly out on leave during the critical week prior to the show, the schedule slipped and work stretched into the days and hours before the show. As the marketing department waited for final photos and reviewed copy, they knew they wouldn’t make the schedule.

“This was a major revision of our company product catalog; we were making a lot of changes and introducing a new product,” says Tanya Bissell, ICC marketing manager.  ICC’s junior art director shepherded the project to completion, but needed help finalizing the files for print. “This is the first time we needed customer support from HubCast,” says Bissell. “We usually upload our files to HubCast’s online portal and we’re done. But, this project was very different; we found ourselves in a bind. We were rushed and crazy.  It was a very stressful time, so we didn’t even go online; we just called HubCast.”

Solution

“Our graphic artist got on the phone with HubCast and it turned into an amazing coaching session. HubCast went above and beyond,” exclaims Bissell. “We were working on the artwork on Friday and by Sunday HubCast had printed and delivered 200 copies of the 12-page, 4-color catalog to the trade show in Las Vegas.  This was a very time-consuming project and HubCast was on-call for us. We didn’t even have to ask.”

“The finished job looks phenomenal,” continues Bissell. “In fact, our CEO received the materials at the show and was the first to see the catalog. She texted us immediately to tell us it looked great.

“We didn’t have time to talk price when we started,” says Bissell. “We got the price when the project was finished and I was blown away with how cost-effective it was. And, HubCast exceeded my expectations for quality.  When you print something this big at the last minute, rush jobs can get a little askew. But, with HubCast, everything looked great.”
